You need to watch this, basically almost all nursing homes here in Portugal are doing the bottle flip challenge and it’s the best thing ever. Here’s one of the videos
Pro tip for adulting: being late isn’t a death sentence for 95% of things. All you gotta do is call the moment you realize you’re gonna be late, apologize, and then give another small apology when you get there. The thing people really don’t like about lateness is that it seems like the other person doesn’t value their time, and since calling shows that you value their time, that leaves only the mild inconvenience of waiting a bit for them to deal with
this is 100% true. Calling ahead to let them know you’ll be late is 100000x better than just showing up late without any notice. Everyone has been late before so most of the time they’ll understand being late. Just don’t make a habit of it
when people try to talk about how honey is supposedly unethical because we’re stealing the bees’ food I’m just like, genuinely curious if you’re aware that the honey we eat is the result of beekeepers raising colonies and harvesting the excess honey while making sure the bees are all good and fine, and that the honey you buy at the store is from a farm and not just like going into the woods and sticking your hand in a beehive like a bear in a cartoon and stealing the wild bees’ honey
Not to mention, beekeepers go to extensive lengths to ensure the health of their hives. The hive boxes and frames are planned out to be an ideal home for bees (which is why they stay). We throw up electric fences to protect the bees from bears and other predators. We check and treat for disease-carrying mites, clear out beetles and other harmful pests… Beekeepers put a lot of time, effort, and money into ensuring the hives receive the proper care. We don’t take any honey until the bees have built up their winter stores (which, in my climate, takes about 3 deep boxes). Then what we do take is from the top boxes where they store excess honey.
